Abstract
Based on a theoretical selection of three water and sewage services coproduction’s experiences in slums of the metropolitan periphery of Buenos Aires since the democratization of Argentina, this study explore answers for the following questions: What characteristics does coproduction regularly assume in urban poverty scenarios? Which of them favor extension and access to services in these contexts?
To answer such questions, a methodological theoretical design is used that includes analysis of secondary sources of information, interviews with key informants and ethnographic fieldwork. Among other issues, the study shows how the forms in which coproduction is regularly expressed are linked to the resources and characteristics of the social actors that participate in it and to broader historical processes.
