Resumo

Este artículo analiza la gestación subrogada en Ucrania como una forma contemporánea de trabajo reproductivo, moldeada por las lógicas económicas globales, los legados postsoviéticos y la precarización de la mujer. Muestra cómo Ucrania, gracias a un marco jurídico permisivo y a la laboralización de los cuerpos de las mujeres, se convirtió en un eslabón de la cadena global del trabajo reproductivo antes de la guerra. El análisis se basa en un estudio  etnográfico realizado entre 2012 y 2013. En esta organización del mercado, las trayectorias de las mujeres que conocimos revelan un espectro de motivaciones compuestas -entre estrategias de supervivencia y proyectos de vida—, así como formas concretas de resistencia. Reivindicando la condición de trabajadoras, ponen de relieve las diferentes facetas del trabajo reproductivo —fisiológicas, emocionales y morales— y algunas optan por establecerse como trabajadoras independientes, lejos de las limitaciones impuestas por las agencias.
