Abstract

This research project, directed by Dr. Florencia Gutiérrez and co-directed by Dr. Alejandra Landaburu, lasts two years (2014-2016) and is funded by the Secretariat of Science and Technology of the National University of Tucumán (Argentina). It is part of a research program, under the direction of Dr. María Celia Bravo and the co-direction of Dr. Daniel Campi, who, in turn, direct the projects: "Actors and State and policies in Tucumán, 1880- 1955 "and" The social question in Tucumán, 1888-1923. Debates, controversies, policies ", respectively.

The project: "Syndicalism, politics and State. Tucumán, 1943-1955 "is made up of four teachers from the National University of Tucumán (Alejandra Landaburu, Florencia Gutiérrez, Gustavo Rubinstein and Mercedes María Navarro Zaldarriaga); two graduate students (María del Carmen Rosales and Flaviana Yubrin) and a graduate student (Yamila Horaiki).

Overall objective

Analyze the imprint of the State in the world of Tucuman sugar work between the "June Revolution" of 1943 and the overthrow of the government of Juan D. Perón in September 1955. In this sense, the gravitation of state tutelage will be studied in the following areas: a) the worker unionization process, b) the emerging labor legislation and the creation of justice bodies for the working class and c) the affirmation of trade unionism as a political actor.
