Género y resistencia política en una comunidad anarquista uruguaya en el período predictadura: La experiencia de la Comunidad del Sur

Abstract

The objective of this article is to reflect about women insertion and the gender relations presented in the alternative family organization proposal of the political group Comunidad del Sur (Community of the South), during the pre dictatorship period of Uruguay. Interviews to some members of that period were developed and group documents analyzed. Hereafter some topics were identified: Political militancy and gender speech; Work division and gender; Family model and child community raise; and some questions were discussed to help on this analysis. What family model was proposed in community life? Which feminist theory and speech were involved? Which gender notion they proposed? How were political issues expressed in those relations?. In this way, we try to identify and understand the main resistance signs and limitations that the group faced in their political aims concretions.
